Karl and Laimer Score As Bayern Munich Win 2–0 at Atlético Madrid
Second-half goals from Karl and Laimer gave Bayern eight points from four league-phase matches and kept its Champions League record unbeaten.

Lennart Karl and Konrad Laimer scored in the second half as Bayern Munich beat Atlético Madrid 2–0 away in the Champions League on Tuesday, November 3. Bayern remained unbeaten in the league phase with two wins and two draws.
Karl broke the deadlock in the 54th minute after forcing a turnover inside Atlético’s penalty area and lifting his finish past Jan Oblak, UEFA reported. Laimer added the second in the 74th minute following Harry Kane’s pass.
Atlético threatened through Marcos Llorente’s shot and Giuliano Simeone’s header but could not beat Manuel Neuer, who made his 164th Champions League appearance. UEFA selected Laimer as player of the match.
The victory followed successive Bayern draws in the competition and took the German club to eight points from four matches. ESPN’s full-time report listed Atlético on four points. Bayern was again overseen by assistant Aaron Danks while manager Vincent Kompany remained absent on medical grounds, with Jamal Musiala and Luis Díaz also missing through injury.
