Santi Aldama Questionable for Mavericks Debut Against Spurs
Aldama is recovering from right knee surgery and could make his first Dallas appearance Wednesday. His availability remains unresolved.

Santi Aldama is questionable for the Dallas Mavericks’ visit to the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday, giving the forward a chance to make his debut for Dallas.
The NBA’s Wednesday noon injury report lists Aldama’s condition as recovery from right knee surgery. The game is scheduled for 9:30 p.m. ET.
NBC Sports reported that Aldama is still awaiting his first Mavericks appearance. His questionable designation leaves his availability unresolved; it does not confirm that he will play against San Antonio.
Aldama underwent knee surgery in March before joining Dallas in a summer trade from Memphis. As part of his recovery, the Mavericks assigned him to practice with their G League affiliate, the Texas Legends, in late October, AS reported.
Dallas also listed Max Christie, Dereck Lively II, Sergio de Larrea and Tarik Biberovic as out on the noon report. Caleb Martin was available with a right thumb splint.
The Mavericks can update Aldama’s status before tipoff as he works toward his first game with the team.
