Report: Timberwolves Agree to Two-Way Deal With Norchad Omier
Michael Scotto reports an agreement with the forward. The NBA’s transaction ledger lists Enrique Freeman as waived by Minnesota.

The Minnesota Timberwolves have agreed to a two-way contract with forward Norchad Omier, according to HoopsHype reporter Michael Scotto. The agreement was reported Tuesday, November 3. The NBA’s transaction ledger lists Minnesota waiving Enrique Freeman.
Scotto reported that Freeman has an injury expected to keep him out for several weeks. Freeman’s waiver opens one of Minnesota’s two-way positions. A specific injury diagnosis for him was not included in the report.
Omier, 25, already spent training camp with the Timberwolves and played in six preseason games before being waived ahead of the regular season. He went undrafted out of Baylor in 2025 and spent most of his first professional season in the G League.
Across 38 games with the Cleveland Charge and San Diego Clippers last season, Omier averaged 18.3 points, 11.4 rebounds and 2.5 assists while shooting 59.2% from the field. He also made six NBA regular-season appearances for the Los Angeles Clippers after signing a two-way deal in February.
Omier earned a place on the G League’s All-Rookie team and finished third in the league’s Rookie of the Year voting last season.
