Report: Ravens Finalizing Trade for Jacoby Brissett, With Deal Expected This Weekend
Baltimore’s reported deal for the Cardinals quarterback is expected to close over the weekend. Joe Fagnano remains the announced starter for Thursday.
The Baltimore Ravens are finalizing a trade for Arizona Cardinals quarterback Jacoby Brissett, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Wednesday.
The deal is expected to be completed over the weekend, according to NFL.com’s report. Terms have not been reported. Cardinals coach Mike LaFleur declined to confirm the deal or discuss details Wednesday, saying he would let the process play out over the next few days.
The timing leaves Joe Fagnano as Baltimore’s announced starter for Thursday’s game against Jacksonville. The Ravens need quarterback help after injuries to Lamar Jackson’s right thumb and Tyler Huntley’s toe. The reported Brissett move would not be completed before that game.
Arizona benched Brissett during Sunday’s comeback victory over the Dallas Cowboys and moved him to third string Monday. Gardner Minshew is the Cardinals’ starter, with rookie Carson Beck behind him.
The Ravens are 4–4 after three consecutive losses. Their Week 10 game is against the Los Angeles Chargers.
