Wilson missed Wednesday’s practice and is day to day after symptoms following Sunday’s loss to the Raiders. His status for Kansas City remains unsettled.

Garrett Wilson is in concussion protocol and did not practice Wednesday as the New York Jets prepared for Sunday’s game at the Kansas City Chiefs.

Coach Aaron Glenn described Wilson as day to day, according to the Jets’ Wednesday report. The team has not announced a final game designation for its receiver.

Wilson was hit in the head while making a 15-yard reception on the next-to-last play of Sunday’s 38–33 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders. The contact drew an unnecessary roughness penalty. He remained in the game for the final play, an interception in the end zone, then experienced symptoms Monday and entered the protocol.

He finished Sunday with six catches for 83 yards on 12 targets. Through eight games, Wilson has 43 receptions for 527 yards and three touchdowns on 63 targets.

The Jets visit Kansas City on Sunday, November 8. Wilson’s protocol status leaves his availability unsettled for that game; the day-to-day description does not establish clearance or a return date.
