Colts Sign Adetomiwa Adebawore to Contract Extension
Indianapolis retains the defensive tackle after four sacks in his first eight games of the season. The team did not disclose financial terms.

The Indianapolis Colts signed defensive tackle Adetomiwa Adebawore to a contract extension on Tuesday, November 3, the team announced. Indianapolis did not disclose the length, value or guarantees in its announcement.
Adebawore, 25, has four sacks, eight quarterback hits, four tackles for loss and two pass breakups in eight games this season, including two starts. The extension comes as he takes on a larger role following the Colts’ trade of DeForest Buckner to the San Francisco 49ers last week.
Indianapolis selected Adebawore in the fourth round of the 2023 NFL Draft, using the 110th overall pick on the Northwestern defensive lineman. He totaled 6.5 sacks, 12 quarterback hits and nine tackles for loss across 43 games in his first three NFL seasons.
The Colts’ announcement described a fourth-year player becoming more effective as his understanding of opposing offenses improves. Adebawore recently told the team’s podcast that film study had helped him anticipate plays and react more instinctively.
