Barcelona Reaches 60 Goals in 15 Matches, Its Best Start in a Century
The club averages four goals per game, with its latest historical comparison reaching back to 1926-27.

Barcelona has scored 60 goals in its first 15 competitive matches this season, a start the club said Thursday has not been matched by one of its teams in a century.
The total gives Hansi Flick’s side an average of four goals per match. It reached 60 in Tuesday’s 3-0 Champions League win over Aston Villa, when Lamine Yamal scored once and Raphinha twice.
The club’s historical comparison was its 1926-27 team, which scored 69 goals across its first 15 competitive games. Fourteen came in the Catalan championship and one in the Spanish championship, the predecessor of the Copa del Rey.
That comparison predates La Liga. Barcelona’s current total covers its modern competitive schedule rather than an equivalent set of league fixtures.
Barcelona next visits Atlético Madrid on Sunday, November 8, before the international break, according to the club’s schedule.
