Where to watch
NBC or Peacock
For television, use your local NBC station. For streaming, open Peacock’s MLB hub and select the Red Sox–Yankees event. Peacock lists Premium as the subscription needed for live Wild Card coverage.
Before buying another service, check whether your existing TV package already includes NBC. If you plan to stream, sign in on the device you will use before game time.
Open Peacock’s MLB guide ↗Sportsnet+
Sportsnet+ lists every MLB postseason game in its Standard offering. Premium includes the Standard content. If Sportsnet+ is included with your TV package, use the TV-provider sign-in option to check your access before purchasing a separate subscription.
For television, check Sportsnet’s daily listings and your provider’s guide for the exact channel. This guide confirms the Canadian streaming route; a specific regional TV feed has not been verified.
Check Sportsnet’s TV listings ↗Using MLB.TV in the U.S.? NBC/Peacock Wild Card games are unavailable live through MLB.TV. See MLB’s postseason access rules.
The Thursday exception to remember
If Yankees–Red Sox and Cubs–Padres are the only two series still playing, New York’s Game 3 moves to 7 p.m. Eastern / 5 p.m. Mountain / 4 p.m. Pacific. Otherwise, MLB’s published scenarios put this matchup at 8 p.m. Eastern.
Check the final October 1 listing after Wednesday’s games before setting your recording. Leave extra recording time for a long game; baseball has no fixed finishing time.
A quick time-zone check
These are the normal 8 p.m. Eastern starts. For the earlier Thursday scenario, subtract one hour from every clock above. Use the named zones when comparing listings: apps may display times automatically in your device’s local zone.
Who is on the call?
Jason Benetti calls the series with Joe Girardi and Lou Merloni; Caroline Pineda reports. Anthony Rizzo contributes analysis. NBC’s broadcast announcement.
