Sabastian Sawe’s 1:59:30 London Marathon, Josh Kerr’s world mile record and Botswana’s home victory in the men’s 4×400-meter relay are the three finalists for the inaugural World Athletics Moment of the Year award.

World Athletics said fans chose the finalists in an app vote. The winner will be announced Nov. 29 at the World Athletics Awards in Monaco.

Sawe broke the two-hour barrier at the London Marathon in April, finishing 11 seconds ahead of Yomif Kejelcha, who also ran under two hours. Kerr ran 3:42.66 for the mile in London. Botswana won the men’s 4×400 at the World Athletics Relays in Gaborone.

The new award will be presented alongside the men’s and women’s World Athlete of the Year and Rising Star awards, among others.
