The Pittsburgh Pirates claimed outfielder Akil Baddoo off waivers from the Milwaukee Brewers on Monday, according to MLB’s transaction record.

The left-handed hitter gives Pittsburgh another outfield option for 2027. Baddoo, 28, hit .252 with 11 home runs and an .818 OPS in 66 minor league games this season.

In a separate waiver move, the Pirates lost right-hander Isaac Mattson to Seattle. Mattson had a 5.35 ERA in 38⅔ innings for Pittsburgh in 2026.
