Packers Activate Josh Jacobs Ahead of Lions Matchup
Green Bay activated Jacobs from exempt status Saturday and also added Jordon Riley, Coleman Owen and Arron Mosby to its game-day options.

Green Bay activated running back Josh Jacobs from exempt status Saturday ahead of Sunday’s game at Detroit. General manager Brian Gutekunst announced the move as part of four Packers roster transactions.
The activation follows Jacobs’ return to the team after missing the first six weeks of the season on the commissioner’s exempt list. In the Packers’ October 21 report, Jacobs said his goal was to play against the Lions.
The team said then that the NFL’s personal-conduct investigation remained ongoing. Saturday’s roster announcement confirms the activation; it does not announce a final league disciplinary decision. TSP’s Jacobs return explainer separates those processes.
Green Bay also activated defensive tackle Jordon Riley from the reserve/physically unable to perform list and signed wide receiver Coleman Owen from the practice squad to the active roster.
Edge rusher Arron Mosby received a standard practice-squad elevation for game day. Owen had been elevated for the previous week’s Dallas game, when he returned a punt for 16 yards. He joined Green Bay’s practice squad September 30.
