Olivia Lisko Withdraws From Finlandia and NHK Grand Prix Events
Minja Peltonen replaces her in Helsinki as the Finnish skater continues recovering from a back stress fracture.

Olivia Lisko has withdrawn from the Finlandia Trophy and NHK Trophy because of a back stress fracture, the Finnish Figure Skating Association said Thursday. Minja Peltonen will take her place at the Helsinki Grand Prix event.
Lisko was diagnosed after September’s Lombardia Trophy. She reduced her training during the past month and attempted to prepare for the two Grand Prix competitions, but pain returned when she resumed jumping, according to the federation’s account.
Finlandia Trophy is scheduled for November 20-21 in Helsinki, followed by the NHK Trophy in Tokyo on November 27-29. Lisko has not set a date for her return to competition.
Peltonen joins Iida Karhunen and Janna Jyrkinen in Finland’s women’s field in Helsinki. Karhunen withdrew from Skate Canada in late October but is aiming to begin her season at Finlandia.
