Mets Claim Pitchers Jack Anderson and Pierson Ohl Off Waivers
New York added Anderson from Minnesota and Ohl from Colorado amid November 2 moves that left its 40-man roster full.

The New York Mets claimed right-handed pitchers Jack Anderson and Pierson Ohl off waivers on Monday, November 2, adding them during a series of moves that brought the club’s 40-man roster to its limit.
Anderson arrived from the Minnesota Twins and Ohl from the Colorado Rockies, MLB.com reported. Both have brief major league experience, with Anderson making his MLB debut during the 2026 season. They enter New York’s pitching depth group.
The Mets also lost two pitchers through waivers. Right-hander Cameron Weston went to the Miami Marlins, while left-hander Philip Abner was claimed by the Baltimore Orioles.
Infielder Eric Wagaman and outfielder Cristian Pache cleared waivers and were outrighted off the roster. Wagaman subsequently chose free agency.
Those transactions helped make room to reinstate infielder Jorge Polanco and right-handers Tylor Megill and Reed Garrett from the 60-day injured list, which does not count against the 40-man limit. MLB.com reported that all three were recovering from surgeries and expected to be healthy by Opening Day.
New York finished the moves with exactly 40 players. Further roster decisions are due later this month as the Mets consider which eligible prospects to protect from the Rule 5 draft.
