Lidl-Trek Names 15-Rider Junior Squad for 2027
The team will race under German registration while keeping club racing and education part of its development program.

Lidl-Trek Junior Racing will field 15 riders in 2027 and operate under German registration, the team announced Thursday. More than half of the roster comes from Germany.
Team manager Markel Irizar said the program will combine major international junior races with opportunities for riders to continue competing for their local clubs. He said limiting travel and maintaining their education are central to the approach.
Kristian Flaterud, Daan Ensenbach and David Aicher are among the riders expected to target climbing and general-classification races. Valdemar Wagner and Julien Breugnot feature in the team’s plans for the Classics.
The roster includes returning riders and new recruits. All 15 have visited Lidl-Trek’s new service course and performance center in Bad Wimpfen, Germany.
The junior program forms an entry point to the organization’s development structure, with progression to Lidl-Trek Future Racing and the WorldTour the longer-term objective.
