Tampa Bay BuccaneersMayfield to miss at least three weeks; Daniels steps in

TB 16, MIN 23 · Final. Todd Bowles said Baker Mayfield will miss a minimum of three weeks after dislocating his throwing-hand thumb. Edition overview, reporting cutoff, status key and sources

Reporting cutoff: September 28, 2026 · 2:59 PM MDT.

Monday decisions and the first Week 4 moves

The biggest change since Sunday is in Miami. The Dolphins placed De’Von Achane on injured reserve Monday, and NFL Network reported that a torn ACL will end his season. That changes the decision from waiting for an initial diagnosis to planning for an extended absence. Ollie Gordon II’s 17 carries against Kansas City give managers a concrete starting point for waiver research, while Jaylen Wright’s health and the next team report remain part of the backfield decision.

Tampa Bay also has a confirmed quarterback change. Todd Bowles said Baker Mayfield will miss a minimum of three weeks after dislocating his throwing-hand thumb. The team says Jalon Daniels will start against Green Bay. His opportunity makes him relevant in deeper superflex formats; it does not establish a dependable one-quarterback fantasy floor or tell us how the receiving work will settle.

Only Eagles–Bears remains in Week 3

Philadelphia elevated Zach Ertz for Monday night with Dallas Goedert out. Johnny Mundt and E.J. Jenkins are also available, and Ertz’s first game after a long absence carries workload uncertainty. Marquise Brown is out. Saquon Barkley and DeVonta Smith have no injury designation, but the final inactive lists still need checking before the 8:15 p.m. ET kickoff.

Caleb Williams is out for Chicago and Tyson Bagent has cleared concussion protocol. Earlier reporting identified Case Keenum as the expected starter, but the Bears’ Monday preview still says the assignment has not been announced. Keep either backup conditional until the team confirms its choice. A healthy quarterback is not automatically the starting quarterback.

Completed workload, with Monday clearly pending

The player tools now include Week 3 carries, targets, available snap counts and scoring-area shares for the 30 teams whose games are complete. Chicago and Philadelphia retain their labelled Week 2 workload until tonight’s game finishes. The weekly PPR leaders cover 15 of 16 games; the season totals run through Sunday. Neither table is a forecast.

Justin Jefferson, Mike Evans, Breece Hall and Jalen Coker remain injury follow-up cases without newly established next-game clearance in the checked reporting.
