The EuroLeague Final Four will return to Abu Dhabi in 2027 and 2029 under an extended partnership between Euroleague Basketball and the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi. The agreement brings the championship weekend back to Etihad Arena after the city’s first edition in 2025.

The official Abu Dhabi announcement sets the 2027 semifinals for May 28, with the championship game on May 30. The final day will also include the adidas NextGen EuroLeague Final.

The two announced host years are 2027 and 2029. The agreement should not be described as an uninterrupted three-year hosting award that automatically includes 2028, which was not listed in the announcement.

The National’s report also confirmed the return to Yas Island’s Etihad Arena. Fenerbahce won the 2025 championship there against Monaco, establishing an earlier event for the partners to build upon.

The renewed relationship extends beyond hosting the final weekend. Experience Abu Dhabi remains a main partner of Euroleague Basketball competitions and the presenting partner of the Final Four, with destination branding integrated into the season’s commercial activity.

The official statement identifies broadcast exposure, arena signage and team-jersey visibility among those elements. That gives the tourism partner a presence across the competition, rather than limiting its activation to visitors arriving for the championship games.

For Euroleague Basketball, returning to the same venue offers continuity in an international event market while preserving the competition’s established club structure. The four participating teams will still have to qualify through the season; the hosting announcement does not name future semifinalists.

For Abu Dhabi, the agreement supports a wider strategy of attracting visitors and sporting events. The release describes tourism and economic-development objectives, but it does not provide a standalone financial return or disclose the commercial fee for the hosting extension.

The next operational announcements will concern ticketing, event programming and the participating clubs as qualification develops. The core decision is now in place: Etihad Arena is scheduled to stage the Final Four in May 2027 and again in 2029.
