Aldeguer Returns as Lecuona Stands In for Alex Marquez

Gresini confirmed its Qatar lineup after separate injuries affected both regular riders.

Fermin Aldeguer will return for Gresini Racing at the Qatar Grand Prix, with Iker Lecuona replacing Alex Marquez in the team’s other seat, the team confirmed Nov. 3.

Aldeguer fractured a bone at the base of his right thumb in a second-lap crash at the Indonesian Grand Prix. He returns after surgery and a recovery period.

Alex Marquez underwent surgery after the Malaysian Grand Prix and hopes to return in Portugal. Lecuona will contest his fifth MotoGP weekend of the season after earlier substitute appearances for Gresini.
