Miro Heiskanen Misses Stars Game With Upper-Body Injury
Dallas is treating its defenseman as day to day after he was hurt Tuesday in Washington.

Dallas Stars defenseman Miro Heiskanen missed Thursday’s game at Columbus with an upper-body injury, his first absence of the season.
Heiskanen was hurt early in the second period of Tuesday’s 6-5 victory at Washington after a hit into the boards by Justin Sourdif. Coach Glen Gulutzan has described him as day to day; a return against San Jose on Saturday remains possible, RotoWire reported, citing the Stars’ official site.
Heiskanen had three goals and eight assists through 15 games and averaged 24:53 of ice time. Dallas has not announced a confirmed return date.
