Brock Faber Returns to Wild Practice After Skull Fracture
The defenseman is expected to travel next week, but will not play in Minnesota’s two weekend home games.

Brock Faber practiced with the Minnesota Wild on Thursday for the first time since suffering a fractured skull in a preseason game, The Associated Press reported.
Coach John Hynes said doctors had cleared the defenseman to play, but he still needed to rebuild his strength and conditioning. Faber will not play in Friday’s or Saturday’s home game and is scheduled to travel on the road trip beginning Tuesday in Montreal.
Faber was struck near the left ear by a shot during a Sept. 25 preseason game and later underwent surgery. Minnesota has not announced a date for his season debut.
He recorded a career-high 51 points in 80 games last season.
