Dabrowski and Stefani Draw Wimbledon Champions in WTA Finals Group
Their Indian Wells group includes Guo Hanyu and Kristina Mladenovic, who beat them in the Wimbledon final.
Gabriela Dabrowski and Luisa Stefani will face the team that beat them in the Wimbledon final during the WTA Finals group stage at Indian Wells.
The official draw places the Canadian-Brazilian pair alongside Wimbledon champions Guo Hanyu and Kristina Mladenovic, Hsieh Su-wei and Jelena Ostapenko, and Elise Mertens and Zhang Shuai.
Dabrowski and Stefani reunited in January. The WTA’s season feature records that they reached the Wimbledon final without dropping a set before losing to Guo and Mladenovic.
The pair’s round-robin matches are scheduled for November 9, 11 and 13. Two teams advance from the group to the November 14 semifinals, with the title match November 15. Dabrowski is making her eighth WTA Finals appearance.
