Cherif Millogo, ESPN’s No. 8 Recruit for 2027, Commits to Kentucky
The center announced his commitment Wednesday, becoming Mark Pope’s highest-ranked Kentucky recruit in ESPN’s rankings.

Center Cherif Millogo announced his commitment to Kentucky on Wednesday, giving coach Mark Pope the highest-ranked recruit of his tenure in Lexington, according to ESPN’s recruiting rankings.
Millogo is No. 8 overall and the No. 2 center in ESPN’s 2027 class. He moved into the top 10 from just inside the top 40 in the outlet’s latest rankings update, ESPN reported.
Originally from Burkina Faso, Millogo transferred from Cambridge Arts, Technology and Science in Massachusetts to St. Francis in California before his junior season. He missed his sophomore season because of a torn ACL.
His recent performances at the Border League event in Las Vegas brought offers from North Carolina, Texas, Tennessee, Louisville and Arkansas. He made an official visit to Kentucky in mid-October.
Millogo joins Ryan Hampton, ESPN’s No. 31 prospect, in Kentucky’s 2027 class. He surpasses Jasper Johnson, the No. 18 recruit in 2025, as Pope’s highest-ranked commitment since the coach replaced John Calipari in 2024.
