NBA
Jalen Johnson Injury Update: Questionable for Monday With Left Ankle Sprain
The NBA’s Sunday 5:45 p.m. EST injury report lists Johnson questionable for Atlanta’s November 2 game at Indiana after his exit against New Orleans.

Jalen Johnson is questionable for the Atlanta Hawks’ visit to the Indiana Pacers on Monday, November 2, with a left ankle sprain, according to the NBA’s injury report issued Sunday at 5:45 p.m. EST.
The designation follows Johnson’s exit from Saturday’s 121–99 loss to the New Orleans Pelicans. Hawks public relations listed him as questionable to return that night, but he did not reenter the game.
Sunday’s report identifies a sprain and establishes his status for the Pacers matchup. Questionable leaves his participation undecided; the report does not provide a return timetable beyond that game designation.
Johnson finished Saturday with 13 points, seven rebounds, four assists and one block in 28 minutes. He made five of 11 shots, including one three pointer, before his night ended.
Through seven games, Johnson has averaged 18.3 points, nine rebounds and 7.9 assists. His contribution spans scoring, rebounding and distribution, leaving Atlanta with several responsibilities to redistribute if he cannot play.
His outing illustrated that range. Johnson supplied 17 points, eight rebounds and seven assists in Thursday’s 114–111 victory over Cleveland. Atlanta then traveled to New Orleans, where the injury accompanied a difficult result.
The Hawks fell to 3–4 after losing for the fourth time in five games. They made eight of 46 three point attempts, and New Orleans led by as many as 28 points. The Pelicans opened a 35–18 first quarter advantage and carried a double digit lead into halftime.
Atlanta listed Jock Landale out against Indiana with a left hip strain. Mouhamed Gueye remains out with a left foot fracture, and Henri Veesaar is out with a right ACL tear.
Monday’s game tips at 7:30 p.m. EST. Johnson’s next status update will establish whether the Hawks regain their forward for the second stop of their road trip or continue without him.
