Achraf Hakimi Is First Defender With Five Goal Contributions in a Ligue 1 Match Since 2006

The PSG full-back became the first defender with five goal contributions in a Ligue 1 match in Opta’s records, which begin in 2006.

Achraf Hakimi has become the first defender to contribute to five goals in a Ligue 1 match since Opta began analyzing the competition in 2006, according to Paris Saint-Germain’s statistical review.

The Moroccan full-back scored three times and supplied two assists in PSG’s 5–1 victory at Le Havre on Friday, October 30. His first career hat-trick accounted for three of those contributions, with Mika Godts and Senny Mayulu finishing the chances he created.

The record has a defined boundary. PSG’s description concerns defenders in Opta’s French league data beginning in 2006; it does not establish an all-time record across every earlier season or every competition.

Hakimi’s involvement began with his assist for Godts’s 26th-minute equalizer. Two minutes later, Mayulu released him into the right side of the penalty area, where he beat goalkeeper Arnaud Bodart to put Paris ahead.

He added a free kick in the 55th minute, then provided the pass for Mayulu’s goal in the 62nd. Godts returned the favor in the 69th minute, creating the chance Hakimi converted to complete his hat-trick. Hakimi was substituted in the 71st minute after starting as captain.

The club’s review places the performance alongside five-goal contributions previously produced by Neymar, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Edinson Cavani, Kylian Mbappé, Memphis Depay and Carlos Eduardo. Hakimi’s position is what distinguishes his addition to that group.

Paris also extended its winning run to nine matches across all competitions. The club’s previous best under Luis Enrique was ten successive victories between January and March 2025, leaving the current team one result short of matching that sequence.

Luis Enrique reached another milestone with his 127th PSG victory, passing Laurent Blanc as the coach with the most wins in club history. Hakimi’s record and that coaching mark came from the same evening, adding two benchmarks to Paris’s current run.
