Georgia and Learfield Extend Partnership Through 2042
A 15-year extension expands Georgia’s commercial and student-athlete marketing work with Learfield, with financial terms not disclosed in the announcement.

Georgia Athletics and Learfield announced a 15-year extension Thursday that will carry their commercial partnership through 2042, expanding work on sponsorship revenue and student-athlete marketing.
The parties said the agreement supports Georgia’s revenue-growth strategy and creates opportunities to connect brands with the athletic department and its athletes. Financial terms were not disclosed in the announcement.
What the commercial extension covers
The extension covers an existing relationship with Learfield and Georgia Bulldog Sports Marketing. It builds on commercial assets used by Georgia, including sponsor logos on football and softball fields.
Georgia also highlighted its in-house athlete-marketing operation and its work with Learfield Impact. Those services include support for brand partnerships and content featuring student-athletes, alongside education about building their public profiles.
The university’s earlier NIL partnership announcement in June 2025 described a coordinated effort to expand revenue opportunities for athletes. Thursday’s extension places that work within a longer commercial relationship rather than announcing a single athlete’s endorsement contract.
That distinction matters when interpreting the deal. An institutional partnership can provide the framework for campaigns, while the terms and participants in individual athlete agreements still depend on separate arrangements.
Content, ticketing and undisclosed financial terms
Georgia’s media team and Learfield also collaborate on content throughout the year. The announcement connected that production work with sponsor campaigns and the department’s broadcast network.
The school uses additional Learfield services for digital engagement and ticketing. The relationship reaches beyond one advertising placement at a game.
The 2042 endpoint provides a long planning horizon for both parties, but the release does not supply a guaranteed annual payment or a total contract valuation. Revenue projections should not be substituted for disclosed financial terms.
For Georgia, the confirmed development is continuity with a commercial partner alongside expanded ambitions for athlete marketing. The results will depend on the sponsorship business generated over the agreement’s life, rather than its duration alone.
