Caleb Williams Has No Caddix Deal: Meet the Brand’s Athletes

Company founder Jack Rasmussen says Williams bought his cleats himself. Other athletes have documented roles as investors, advisers or wearers.

“Caleb didn’t sign a deal with us. We have not paid him and are not paying him,” Caddix founder Jack Rasmussen wrote in a public LinkedIn statement about Caleb Williams.

The Bears quarterback’s cleat choice has brought attention to the footwear company, but the founder’s account describes a customer rather than an endorsement signing. Rasmussen said Williams purchased the cleats himself. Caddix offered to cover his fines. The statement does not announce a sponsorship contract, salary, equity award or ownership stake for Williams.

The offer to absorb a penalty is a specific form of support. It does not, by itself, establish the terms of a continuing commercial relationship. No Williams endorsement fee, contract duration or investment amount was disclosed in that statement.

Caddix’s athlete advisers and investors

Caddix identifies Joe Flacco, Kayla Sharples, Todd Heap and Dennis Pitta as athlete advisers. That is a company-designated role, distinct from appearing in a photograph wearing its footwear. The public team page places those four in its athlete advisory group, separately from its medical and sports science advisers.

Caddix’s history also identifies Flacco and Sharples as seed-round backers; individual investment amounts and ownership percentages are not disclosed.

The investment relationship predates this week’s Williams coverage. The Ravens’ August 29, 2024 announcement identified Heap and Pitta as investors and published statements from both former tight ends about joining the company.

Ja’Kobi Lane’s reported deal has a different status

An August 28, 2026 On SI report described Ja’Kobi Lane’s arrangement as a shoe deal and reported that he invested part of his rookie contract in Caddix. It said Heap helped connect the receiver and Rasmussen. The report did not disclose a dollar figure, equity percentage or endorsement payment.

That account supports describing Lane as a reported commercial partner and investor. It does not establish identical arrangements for other players who choose the same cleats.

Brady and other wearers

Tom Brady wore Caddix during practice for the Fanatics Flag Football Classic, according to Kicks On SI’s March 22, 2026 report. The article included his favorable comments and company-supplied photographs. It did not disclose an investment, ownership share or paid endorsement contract.

Complex’s October 28 wearer list includes Cooper Kupp, Dalton Kincaid, Kyle Juszczyk, Jalen Ramsey and Jakobi Meyers.

Caddix’s public team page supplies no payment or equity terms for its athlete advisers.
