Josh Jacobs Is Active for Season Debut Against Lions
The Packers running back is available after missing six games on the commissioner’s exempt list. Aaron Banks also returns to Green Bay’s lineup.

Josh Jacobs is active for the Green Bay Packers against the Detroit Lions on Sunday, putting the running back in position to make his first appearance of the 2026 season.
The Lions’ official game-day report confirmed Jacobs’ status. He missed Green Bay’s first six games while on the commissioner’s exempt list. The Packers added him to the active roster Saturday.
Green Bay also regains guard Aaron Banks, who is active after missing four games because of injuries. Guard Kevin Zeitler, who has yet to make his Packers debut, is inactive. Running back Kaleb Johnson is also on Green Bay’s inactive list.
Jacobs returned to practice this week after coming off the exempt list. The Packers reported Wednesday that the NFL’s personal-conduct investigation remained ongoing. Sunday’s active designation concerns his game availability and does not announce a final disciplinary ruling.
Green Bay enters the game 4–2, while Detroit is 3–2 after its Week 6 bye. The game at Ford Field is scheduled to start at 2:25 p.m. MDT.
