Georgie Horjus Wins 2026 Liz Ellis Diamond

The Adelaide Thunderbirds co-captain also received Australia’s international player of the year award.

Georgie Horjus won the Liz Ellis Diamond, Australian netball’s highest individual honor, at the national awards in Melbourne on Oct. 30.

The Adelaide Thunderbirds co-captain also received the Australian International Player of the Year award. Sophie Garbin finished second and Kate Moloney third in both awards, according to Netball Australia.

Horjus led Super Netball with 331 goal assists as Adelaide won its third premiership in four years. Netball Australia credited her with 309 feeds during the international season and a player of the match performance in Australia’s final Constellation Cup Test against New Zealand.

Thunderbirds teammate Elmeré van der Berg won Super Netball Player of the Year after scoring a league-leading 810 goals at 91% accuracy.
