Fantasy Injury Watch: Jeanty, Hall and Kittle

Three situations to monitor before Week 1. A return to practice and a full game workload are different milestones.

NFL fantasy · Status checked September 3. Opening-week decisions are approaching, but optimism is not an official game designation. Here are three situations worth a place on your watchlist.

Ashton Jeanty: keep a contingency

The Raiders back remained out of practice Wednesday with an ankle injury, according to RotoWire. Coach Klint Kubiak has expressed optimism about Week 1. That is encouraging; it does not establish how much Jeanty would play. Keep a usable alternative for the September 13 opener and follow the next practice reports. Mike Washington and Dylan Laube are names to monitor if the absence continues, not automatic substitutes for Jeanty’s expected production.

Breece Hall: Allen’s work matters

The Jets’ September 1 update describes Hall working back from a groin injury and Braelon Allen taking first-team work. Allen belongs on the contingency list. Avoid turning those practice repetitions into a prediction that Hall will miss the opener; the team’s eventual game designation and anticipated workload are the decisions that matter.

George Kittle: follow the progression

San Francisco activated Kittle from PUP on August 23, following his January Achilles injury. That update described individual work, not an established full-game role. Managers need the subsequent team-practice progression and Week 1 availability decision before treating the milestone as a fantasy green light.

The move: preserve a bench option and check official reports closer to kickoff. This is a dated watchlist, not a declaration that any of these players is officially questionable or out.
