Everton Assess Branthwaite After Cramp Before Coventry Visit
David Moyes is hopeful the defender can play Friday; Jack Grealish remains unavailable.

Everton will assess Jarrad Branthwaite before Friday’s home game against Coventry City after the defender left Monday’s win at Newcastle United with cramp.
Manager David Moyes said Thursday he hoped Branthwaite would be available, according to the Premier League’s account of his team-news briefing. The defender was withdrawn after 82 minutes of Everton’s 1-0 victory at St. James’ Park.
Moyes also confirmed Jack Grealish remained unavailable. He did not announce a return date for the midfielder.
Everton enter the Coventry game seventh in the Premier League after consecutive victories over Newcastle in the Carabao Cup and league.
Coventry will be without Aurele Amenda and Haji Wright, while Josh Eccles and Luke Woolfenden are also expected to remain out. Bobby Thomas and Frank Onyeka face late fitness checks.
