Dortmund Await Guirassy Assessment After Thigh Injury Against Betis
Niko Kovač says Dortmund will be cautious with Serhou Guirassy after the striker left Wednesday’s Champions League victory.

Borussia Dortmund will assess Serhou Guirassy after the striker suffered a thigh injury in Wednesday’s 2-1 Champions League win over Real Betis.
Guirassy felt discomfort around the 31st minute and was substituted shortly afterward, according to the Bundesliga’s injury update. Coach Niko Kovač said the initial impression was a pulled muscle, but a diagnosis and recovery period had not been confirmed.
Kovač said he was reluctant to take risks with Guirassy before Saturday’s Bundesliga match against Elversberg. The striker has eight goals in 14 appearances in all competitions this season, including four goals in four Champions League games.
