College GameDay’s Provo Episode Draws 3 Million Viewers
ESPN ranked the October 17 show third among its regular-season episodes, while the season average stood at 2.8 million through Week 7.

College GameDay’s October 17, 2026, broadcast from Provo, Utah, averaged 3 million viewers, according to ESPN’s October 23 audience update, which ranked it third among the show’s regular-season episodes.
It was the program’s largest Week 7 audience, ESPN said. The show returned to BYU’s campus for the first time since 2009 ahead of the Cougars’ game against Notre Dame.
The broadcast aired from 9 a.m. to noon ET. ESPN listed distribution on ESPN, ESPNU, Disney+ and the ESPN App. The audience release credited Nielsen Big Data + Panel without an outlet-by-outlet breakdown.
For the 2026 season through Week 7, the program averaged 2.8 million viewers, up 1% from the corresponding point last year, ESPN reported. That season figure is an average across the reporting period.
ESPN said six of College GameDay’s nine most-watched regular-season episodes came in 2026. The company described the program as being on pace for its most-watched season for a third consecutive year.
The release covered programs through Week 7 and was issued before the October 24 edition. It did not provide an audience figure for that following Saturday’s show.
