Cole Palmer Sent Off As Tottenham Beat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge
Cole Palmer received two yellow cards in Chelsea’s 2–0 loss to Tottenham.

Cole Palmer was sent off for two yellow cards as Chelsea lost 2–0 to Tottenham Saturday. It gave Spurs their first Premier League win at the ground since 2018.
Chelsea were already behind after goalkeeper Mike Penders punched Mateus Fernandes’ corner into his own net. Palmer then received a second booking for a challenge on Conor Gallagher, leaving Xabi Alonso’s team with 10 players.
His first caution followed an off-the-ball incident with Fernandes, according to Sky Sports’ report. He received a second yellow, rather than a straight red.
Mathys Tel secured Tottenham’s victory with a solo run and low finish. Roberto De Zerbi’s side had controlled much of the match, with 70% first-half possession.
Alonso said afterward that Chelsea needed greater maturity when responding to the opening goal. He also said he needed to review Palmer’s challenge before discussing it with the player. The result ended Chelsea’s previously red-card-free start to the league season.
