Cavaliers Rally From 15 Down to Beat Timberwolves 127–125 in Overtime
Donovan Mitchell scored 26 and rookie Meleek Thomas added 16 in his NBA debut as Cleveland handed Minnesota its first loss.

The Cleveland Cavaliers erased a 15-point deficit and beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 127–125 in overtime Monday, surviving a 47-point performance from Anthony Edwards.
Donovan Mitchell finished with 26 points and seven assists, while rookie Meleek Thomas scored 16 off the bench in his NBA debut. Cleveland credited Thomas with helping change the game’s energy, ESPN reported.
Mitchell’s late overtime basket helped the Cavaliers finish the comeback. James Harden contributed 19 points and nine assists, and Evan Mobley supplied 18 points and 10 rebounds, according to Reuters’ game roundup.
After recovering in regulation and completing the job in overtime, Cleveland improved to 2–1, while Minnesota fell to 3–1. The result ended the Timberwolves’ unbeaten start despite another high-scoring night from Edwards.
Thomas’ contribution gives Cleveland an encouraging early bench performance to build on. One debut does not settle a season-long rotation, but his scoring provided immediate help in a game the Cavaliers had to recover before they could close.
