Carter Hart Injured During Golden Knights’ Morning Skate
Vegas is evaluating Carter Hart after he left Tuesday’s morning skate. Adin Hill is scheduled to start against Ottawa at 10 p.m. Eastern.

Vegas Golden Knights goaltender Carter Hart left Tuesday’s morning skate with an injury and is undergoing evaluation. The Las Vegas Review-Journal reported his departure before the team’s home game against the Ottawa Senators.
Coach Ryan Craig said Hart was being assessed, according to the NHL’s status report. Adin Hill is scheduled to start against Ottawa at 10 p.m. Eastern. A diagnosis and a return timetable had not been announced in the reports available Tuesday afternoon.
RotoWire’s injury listing, citing The Athletic’s Jesse Granger, described Hart’s status as under evaluation. Until the Golden Knights provide an update, the injury should be treated as an availability question rather than a confirmed extended absence. Tuesday’s planned starter and the status of the other goaltender are separate decisions.
Hart has already delivered a strong home performance this month. He stopped 26 of 27 shots in Vegas’ October 10 victory over Los Angeles, a 2–1 result decided by Mitch Marner’s power-play goal in overtime. Trevor Connelly had a goal and an assist, while Mark Stone assisted on both Vegas goals.
Both Vegas goals came with the man advantage that night. That game stayed tied throughout the third period before Marner scored at 2:40 of overtime. Vegas finished with a 32–27 advantage in shots and improved to 5–1–0 at that point, as recorded in TSP’s report. Those were the standings after that earlier game, not the club’s current record.
Hart also started the October 2 home game against Anaheim, making 16 saves in a 4–3 loss. Vegas scored three times in the third period but could not complete its comeback.
The immediate question is whether Hart can remain available alongside Hill. Any change to the dressing goaltenders requires confirmation from Vegas; the morning-skate injury alone does not establish its severity or how long he might miss.
