Rybakina-Noskova, Gauff-Pegula Set for WTA Finals Opening Day
The season-ending event begins Sunday in Indian Wells with eight singles players and eight doubles teams.
Elena Rybakina will face Linda Noskova and Coco Gauff will play Jessica Pegula on the opening day of the WTA Finals in Indian Wells on Sunday.
The WTA’s published opening-day announcement places those four players in Group 1. Aryna Sabalenka, Mirra Andreeva, Elina Svitolina and Karolina Muchova form Group 2.
The November 8-15 tournament features eight singles players and eight doubles teams. Each competition begins with two groups of four, with the top two from each group advancing to the knockout rounds.
The event takes place at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden. The total prize purse is $10 million, according to the WTA’s event announcement.
