Benavidez Sees Canelo Improving in a Crawford Rematch
Benavidez wants a second fight after Alvarez’s win over Christian Mbilli, while stopping short of predicting a Canelo victory.

David Benavidez believes Canelo Alvarez could improve on his performance against Terence Crawford if the fighters meet again, following Alvarez’s return to the ring against Christian Mbilli.
Speaking to FightHub in comments reported by BoxingScene on Thursday, Benavidez pointed to Alvarez’s improvement between his first two fights with Gennadiy Golovkin. He said he would welcome another Alvarez-Crawford bout but did not predict that Alvarez would stop Crawford.
Alvarez regained the WBC super middleweight title by beating Mbilli on October 31, his first fight since losing to Crawford in September 2025.
Benavidez’s comments express interest in a possible rematch. They do not establish that one has been agreed.
