Diego Moreira Wins Milan’s October Player of the Month Award
Moreira wins the fan vote for a second consecutive month after contributing a goal and two assists in Milan’s derby victory over Inter.
Diego Moreira has won AC Milan’s fan-voted Player of the Month award for October, adding to the award he received for September, the club announced Wednesday.
Moreira helped create all three goals in Milan’s 3-1 win over Inter on October 31. He supplied the cross for Christian Pulisic’s opener and the corner for Adrien Rabiot’s goal before scoring with a left-footed free kick.
He finished ahead of Rabiot in the final vote. Rabiot scored against Sassuolo, Atalanta and Inter during October. Alphadjo Cisse, who scored five goals across Serie A and the Europa League during the month, and Pulisic were the other nominees.
