Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Scores 42 as Thunder Beat Cavaliers Again
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander followed Monday’s 43 points with 42 as Oklahoma City beat Cleveland 124–116 to complete two wins in three nights.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 42 points and added eight assists as the Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers 124–116 on Wednesday night, November 4, completing two victories over the same opponent in three nights.
The Canadian guard followed his 43-point performance in Monday’s 117–112 victory at Cleveland with another major scoring night at home. Oklahoma City improved to 6–2, while the Cavaliers fell to 4–4, according to the Associated Press report carried by Sportsnet.
Gilgeous-Alexander scored 32 of his points after halftime, Reuters reported. Cleveland had reduced a 25-point deficit to seven early in the third quarter, forcing Oklahoma City to respond after its large initial advantage.
Ajay Mitchell contributed 23 points and rookie Bennett Stirtz added 16. The Thunder have gone 3–2 since losing three starters to longer-term injuries, making these consecutive wins a useful early result for a depleted rotation.
Donovan Mitchell led Cleveland with 27 points. James Harden scored 19, and Evan Mobley finished with 16 points and 10 rebounds. The Cavaliers threatened again late, with Mitchell making three consecutive threes before Oklahoma City closed out the victory.
Gilgeous-Alexander made five three-pointers and converted 15 of 19 free throws. His two scoring performances against Cleveland totalled 85 points, an average of 42.5. That average describes these two games alone, rather than his full season.
The NBA’s official highlight documents the second consecutive 40-point performance against the Cavaliers. For Oklahoma City, the result pairs another high-volume scoring night with contributions from Mitchell and Stirtz, rather than leaving the supporting offense entirely unaccounted for.
Alex Caruso returned for Oklahoma City, while Jarrett Allen left during the first quarter with a right knee injury, according to Reuters.
The Thunder next visit Memphis on Friday, while Cleveland hosts Philadelphia. Both games follow a home-and-home sequence that Oklahoma City completed with victories.
