Breece Hall Practices on a Limited Basis: Week 9 Fantasy Plans for Hall and Braelon Allen

Hall’s limited Wednesday practice keeps a return in play. Hold both options where possible and wait for availability and role information before committing a Week 9 running-back slot.

Keep Breece Hall and Braelon Allen available on your roster while the Jets’ Week 9 backfield develops. Hall was limited Wednesday with a quadriceps injury. That is useful participation information, but it does not establish that he will play against Kansas City or describe the workload he would receive.

This guide assumes a 12-team PPR league with two running-back slots and a flex. Your immediate decision is which available player can fill a lineup position, not whether Hall or Allen is the better long-term asset. A shallow bench may force an earlier waiver choice; a larger bench makes holding both more practical.

What Wednesday Changed

The Jets’ November 4 report lists Hall among four limited participants. Aaron Glenn said that group was trending in the right direction. Hall has not played since the September 27 loss at Detroit. The report offers an encouraging practice development without supplying a final Sunday designation.

Allen has produced at least 100 scrimmage yards in four consecutive games during Hall’s absence, according to the same club report. That recent role gives managers a reason to retain him while the situation remains open. It does not establish what the backfield would look like if Hall returns, and it cannot guarantee the next game’s touches.

Make Two Conditional Lineup Plans

If Hall is ruled out, evaluate Allen against your other available running backs with the continuing opportunity in mind. Use the actual final report and inactive list rather than carrying a previous week’s decision forward. Keep a replacement ready if Allen’s own status changes or your league locks lineups before the announcement.

If Hall is active, look for a supported statement about his expected role before moving him ahead of a healthy starter with an established assignment. Activation alone would not settle the carry split or receiving usage. Allen would also need a fresh evaluation; neither an automatic full workload nor an automatic disappearance from the offense follows from Hall’s availability.

Do not drop Allen simply to react to one limited practice, or assume Hall can remain in an injury-reserve slot after his platform status changes. Check the current eligibility label and your roster limit. The next useful checkpoints are the remaining practice reports, the final game designation and Sunday’s inactive announcement before Jets–Chiefs.
