Victor Wembanyama scored 43 points and blocked six shots as the San Antonio Spurs beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 121–111 on Saturday, October 31, extending their winning streak to four games.

Wembanyama made 17 of 34 shots, including three of eight attempts from three point range. He added seven rebounds and four assists, giving San Antonio production at both ends as it continued recovering from an opening pair of defeats.

Dylan Harper supplied 25 points and six assists. The Spurs opened a three game homestand with another victory, continuing their recovery from losses to Oklahoma City and Houston.

Minnesota played without Anthony Edwards, who is recovering from knee surgery, and Rudy Gobert, who had back spasms. Ayo Dosunmu led the Timberwolves with 27 points and nine rebounds. Jonathan Kuminga and Jaden McDaniels each scored 19.

LaMelo Ball’s foul trouble further complicated Minnesota’s night. He played 20 minutes and fouled out with 3:43 remaining, finishing with 10 points, eight rebounds and four assists.

The Timberwolves still created a first half response. After Ball collected his fourth foul, Minnesota produced a 16–0 run, with Kuminga and Dosunmu scoring five points apiece during that stretch.

San Antonio regained control after halftime. The Spurs started the second half with a 13–4 run, while Wembanyama continued combining interior scoring with rim protection. One sequence took him from blocking Kuminga’s three point attempt to finishing a dunk at the other end.

His shooting performance also provided a sharp contrast with opening night, when he went one for 13 against Oklahoma City. Saturday’s output followed San Antonio’s early losses to the Thunder and Rockets with a fourth consecutive win.

The Spurs host Utah on Monday, November 2. Minnesota returns home to face Milwaukee that night, with its injured starters’ availability remaining a separate question from Saturday’s final result.
