Gardner Minshew came off the bench to throw three touchdown passes as the Arizona Cardinals rallied past the Dallas Cowboys 33–30 in overtime Sunday. Chad Ryland’s 42-yard field goal completed the comeback after his missed extra point had extended the game in Arlington, Texas.

Arizona trailed 17–3 when Minshew replaced Jacoby Brissett in the third quarter. The Cardinals scored touchdowns on four consecutive possessions to finish regulation, with Michael Wilson catching the tying 13-yard pass with six seconds remaining. Ryland then pulled the potential winning extra point left.

Both offenses went three-and-out on their first overtime possessions. Arizona used its second chance to reach field-goal range, and Ryland converted. Dallas’ late advantage had disappeared despite a defense that produced five sacks and two takeaways.

Minshew finished 17 of 23 for 188 yards without an interception, according to Arizona’s official report. His scoring throws went to Tyler Allgeier, Trey McBride and Wilson. The change at quarterback gave the Cardinals a productive passing finish after Brissett’s start.

Allgeier supplied the long runs that changed the afternoon. He finished with 147 rushing yards on 11 carries, including a 63-yard touchdown and a 52-yard gain, according to Dallas’ game report. He added a receiving touchdown as Arizona repeatedly answered Cowboys scores.

Dak Prescott passed for 195 yards and a touchdown and ran for another score. Dallas built a 14–3 halftime lead, then extended the margin with a field goal on the opening possession of the second half. The Cowboys reached 30 points but could not protect them.

Their final regulation possession ended with Brandon Aubrey’s 41-yard field goal, leaving Arizona just over a minute to cover 80 yards. Minshew completed that drive with Wilson’s touchdown. The Cardinals survived the missed kick and forced Dallas to punt before Ryland delivered the winning points in overtime.
