Arsenal are managing a quadriceps injury to Bukayo Saka after Mikel Arteta described the winger’s condition as concerning in his latest detailed update.

Arteta said the situation was “not good” on October 23, ESPN reported. Tuesday’s Fleetwood–Arsenal cup preview continued to list Saka among the absentees.

The available reporting points to a period out, but a precise, newly confirmed return date has not been established in those updates. Arsenal’s subsequent medical and squad announcements will determine when he is ready to play again.

Saka’s absence creates an immediate selection problem on the flank. The replacement arrangement matters both for who starts and for how Arsenal distribute attacking responsibility during his recovery.

For supporters following the injury, the useful distinction is between an expected absence and an exact clearance date. A broad estimate measured in weeks should not be turned into a promise that Saka will return for a particular fixture without a newer, specific club update.
