Updated October 27, 2026: Jalen Williams will need surgery for a fractured left fibula and dislocated left ankle. Oklahoma City also said Cason Wallace requires surgery for a torn labrum in his left shoulder, ESPN reported Monday. No return timetable was announced for either player.

Reuters also reported the diagnoses. The more specific findings supersede the initial lower-leg and shoulder-soreness designations described in the earlier report below.

Jalen Williams is out for the Oklahoma City Thunder’s Monday game against the Phoenix Suns after leaving Sunday’s victory over the Los Angeles Clippers on a stretcher with a left lower-leg injury.

The NBA’s 2:30 p.m. ET Monday injury report lists Williams as out with a left lower-leg injury. The designation provides no more specific diagnosis or return timetable.

Williams was hurt with 1:14 remaining in the Thunder’s 108–101 win at Paycom Center. He was fouled on a drive to the basket and remained on the floor while medical personnel attended to him, according to The Associated Press.

He gave the crowd a thumbs-up as he was wheeled off. Play stopped for about five minutes before Oklahoma City completed the victory.

Williams, an All-Star and All-NBA selection who helped the Thunder win the 2025 championship, missed 49 games last season, mostly because of hamstring problems, AP reported.

Monday’s injury report also rules out Chet Holmgren with right patellar tendinitis and Cason Wallace with left shoulder soreness. The Thunder host Phoenix at 8 p.m. ET after winning their first three games.
