Quinn Hughes Returns to Vancouver With Wild for First Time
The former Canucks captain visits Rogers Arena on Sunday with 499 career points and 14 points in his first 12 games this season.

Quinn Hughes returns to Rogers Arena on Sunday for his first game in Vancouver since the Canucks traded their former captain to the Minnesota Wild last December. The game is scheduled for 8 p.m. MDT.
Hughes said Saturday in Seattle that he was unsure how Vancouver fans would receive him. “Whether I’m booed or whatnot, it won’t change how I feel about that place,” he told reporters, according to the Pioneer Press.
The 27-year-old defenseman remains Vancouver’s career scoring leader at his position, with 432 points in 459 regular-season games. The Canucks selected him seventh overall in 2018, and he won the Norris Trophy in 2024.
Hughes arrives with 14 points in 12 games for Minnesota this season, including two goals and 12 assists. His career regular-season total stands at 499 points, leaving him one away from 500.
Vancouver enters the meeting at 2–9–1 after nine consecutive losses. Minnesota, meanwhile, is coming off a 5–1 win at Seattle on Saturday. The return gives Hughes his first game on Vancouver ice as a visiting player after six and a half seasons with the Canucks.
