RIO DE JANEIRO — Tyler Loop kicked a 56-yard field goal as time expired to give the Baltimore Ravens a 34–31 victory over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday at Maracanã Stadium, ending a frantic finish that produced 13 points in the final 90 seconds.
Loop’s winning kick came after Brandon Aubrey had drawn Dallas level with a 23-yard field goal with seven seconds remaining. Lamar Jackson then found Zay Flowers to move Baltimore into field-goal range, and the Ravens used their final timeout before Loop settled the game.
The finish overturned what briefly looked like a Dallas escape. The Cowboys had erased an 11-point third-quarter deficit and taken a 28–24 lead on KaVontae Turpin’s nine-yard touchdown run with 9:42 left.
Jackson answered with an 11-play, 64-yard drive, capped by a two-yard touchdown pass to Matthew Hibner with 1:30 remaining. Loop’s extra point put Baltimore ahead 31–28, only for Dak Prescott to move Dallas back down the field.
Prescott completed passes to Ryan Flournoy and CeeDee Lamb and added a seven-yard scramble before a pass-interference penalty against Nate Wiggins gave Dallas first-and-goal at the 2. A false start and two incomplete passes helped keep the Cowboys out of the end zone, leaving Aubrey to tie it from short range.
Derrick Henry had supplied Baltimore’s first two touchdowns, scoring from four and three yards after Dallas opened a 10–0 lead. Henry finished with 89 yards on 26 carries, while Jackson completed 15 of 20 passes for 186 yards and two touchdowns without an interception.
Flowers caught five passes for 84 yards and added 20 yards on a rushing attempt. Jackson also ran for 50 yards, helping Baltimore finish with 378 total yards.
Prescott went 25 of 40 for 276 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions. Lamb caught seven passes for 112 yards, George Pickens had seven for 82, and Javonte Williams rushed for 98 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries.
Baltimore led 17–13 at halftime and extended the margin on Jackson’s four-yard touchdown pass to Chris Moore late in the third quarter. Prescott found Jake Ferguson for a 19-yard score and Lamb for the two-point conversion before Turpin’s touchdown gave Dallas its fourth-quarter lead.
The Cowboys finished with 415 yards, but Baltimore produced the final scoring possession. Baltimore centers Ethan Pocic (knee) and Jovaughn Gwyn (ankle) did not return after injuries, according to NFL.com’s postgame injury update.
