The Golden State Warriors ruled out Stephen Curry and Draymond Green for Sunday’s home game against the Los Angeles Clippers. Curry is listed with right knee injury management, while Green is out for bilateral low back injury management. The November 1 game opens a home back-to-back at Chase Center.

Both players will miss their second game this season after sitting out the October 24 loss to Phoenix. Curry missed two months late last season with a right knee injury. Golden State has been keeping the 38-year-old guard from playing both games of back-to-backs, according to NBC Sports Bay Area.

Curry has averaged 29.2 points through five appearances, shooting 47.7 percent from the field and 44.0 percent from 3-point range. Green has averaged 3.0 points, 7.2 assists and 5.2 rebounds in five games. The Warriors host the Suns on Monday after facing the Clippers.

The absences follow Friday’s 112–95 NBA Cup victory over the Lakers. Golden State recovered from a 25-point deficit, with Curry scoring 31 points and making eight 3-pointers. Its reserves supplied 50 points while the Lakers’ bench scored seven, giving the Warriors production beyond their leading scorer. Golden State trailed 38–15 after the opening quarter before winning the second period by that identical score, bringing the teams level at the half.

Brandin Podziemski had a season-high 21 points, five rebounds and six assists in that win. De’Anthony Melton scored 16 points, including 13 in the second quarter, while Georges Niang added 11. Golden State has won three straight games heading into Sunday’s matchup.

The NBA’s Saturday evening injury report also listed Jimmy Butler III out following right ACL surgery and Moses Moody out following left patellar tendon surgery. Kristaps Porziņģis was out because he was not with the team. Gui Santos was probable with left knee tendinitis.
