Moicano and Nolan Make Weight for UFC Main Event; Francis Marshall Misses Limit
Both lightweight headliners clear the scale for October 31. Marshall weighs two pounds over the featherweight allowance and forfeits 20% of his purse.

Renato Moicano and Tom Nolan made weight October 30 for their UFC lightweight main event in Las Vegas, while Francis Marshall missed the limit for his preliminary-card bout against Dakota Hope.
Moicano registered 156 pounds and Nolan 155.5 at the official scale. Marshall weighed 148 pounds, two above the non-title featherweight allowance of 146. UFC said Marshall will forfeit 20% of his purse to Hope, who weighed 145.5 pounds.
The five-round headliner is scheduled for October 31 at Meta APEX. It is Nolan’s first UFC main event, matching the Australian’s recent winning streak against a veteran who has already competed in a lightweight championship fight.
Moicano enters with a professional record of 21–7–1 after submitting Chris Duncan in his previous appearance. The Brazilian, whose legal name is Renato Carneiro, is 37, and that result was his first UFC victory since 2024.
Nolan is 11–1 and has won five straight following a defeat in his UFC debut in early 2024. His run includes a unanimous-decision win over Fares Ziam earlier this year, giving him a chance to establish himself against a more experienced opponent in a longer scheduled contest.
The welterweight co-main event features Randy Brown and Jacobe Smith, who each weighed 170.5 pounds. The main card also includes Ode’ Osbourne against Cody Durden at flyweight, Yana Santos against Luana Santos at bantamweight, and Jean-Paul Lebosnoyani against Farman Hasanov at welterweight. The published schedule lists five main-card fights and seven preliminary bouts, all supporting the non-title lightweight headliner between the pair.
The card contains 12 scheduled fights, with Marshall the only athlete to miss weight. Preliminary bouts begin at 5 p.m. EDT and the main card at 8 p.m. EDT, both on Paramount+ in the United States. Saturday’s card is scheduled to proceed following the official scale session in Las Vegas.
