Ladd McConkey and Tre’ Harris Cleared for Chargers’ Game Against Rams
The receivers have no game designation after Friday’s practice. Los Angeles returns from its bye seeking its first win of the season.

Ladd McConkey and Tre’ Harris are cleared to play against the Rams on Sunday, giving the Chargers two receivers back as they seek their first victory after a bye week.
The Chargers’ final injury report lists neither player with a game designation. McConkey, returning from a concussion, practiced fully Wednesday through Friday. Harris progressed from limited work Wednesday and Thursday to full participation Friday as he recovered from a hamstring injury.
Khalil Mack is also off the report. The defense will remain without safety Derwin James, who was ruled out with a hamstring injury. Guard Kayode Awosika, defensive back Deane Leonard and receiver Brenen Thompson are also out. Cornerbacks Donte Jackson and Rodney Shelley are questionable.
The Chargers enter at 0–6, while the Rams are 3–4. Their November 1 meeting at SoFi Stadium kicks off at 4:05 p.m. ET, with the Chargers designated the road team. Offensive tackle Joe Alt is also preparing to return after missing two games with a neck injury. Alt’s availability gives Los Angeles another experienced blocker while the team determines how to align its offensive tackles.
The receiver clearances follow a week devoted to repairing an offense averaging 15 points per game. The Chargers’ account of their bye-week work says coordinator Mike McDaniel and quarterback Justin Herbert spent four hours reviewing film together across two sessions.
McDaniel described an even exchange between coach and quarterback, focused on shared accountability and identifying improvements. Herbert backed the coordinator, saying the offense needed better execution in running, blocking, catching and throwing.
Jim Harbaugh confirmed Wednesday that McDaniel would retain play-calling duties, continuing the arrangement reported earlier this week. Los Angeles entered Week 8 last in offensive success rate and EPA per play, with 15 turnovers through six games. The returning receivers expand its available options against the Rams.
