Tank Dell Activated by Texans Before Giants Game
Houston activated Dell on Saturday. DeMeco Ryans had identified the Giants matchup as the receiver’s expected return.

Houston activated wide receiver Tank Dell to its active roster Saturday, one day before the Texans host the New York Giants. The club announced the move in its October 24 transactions report.
Coach DeMeco Ryans had said October 19 that he expected Dell to return against New York after two weeks of practice. In the team’s account of those comments, Ryans described Dell’s quickness and the difficulties he had created for defenders in practice.
Dell has not played since December 21, 2024, because of a serious knee injury, the Giants’ Week 7 tracker noted.
CBS Sports reported Saturday that Dell remained questionable for Sunday.
Ryans said he wanted Dell to play the offense naturally rather than meet a heavy set of expectations in his first game back. His October 19 comments did not specify a snap allocation.
Houston also elevated cornerback Bryce Hall and linebacker Kenneth Murray from its practice squad for Week 7. The team listed those as standard elevations, separate from Dell’s move onto the active roster.
