Teuvo Teravainen will miss the Chicago Blackhawks’ game at the New York Islanders on Thursday after suffering a lower-body injury, coach Jeff Blashill said in an update reported by NHL.com.

Teravainen did not play in the third period of Chicago’s 4–2 victory over the St. Louis Blues on Tuesday. Blashill said the forward would not travel with the team and that more information about the injury was expected within the next few days.

The update did not establish a return date. Chicago also recalled forward Dominic Toninato from Rockford of the American Hockey League on Wednesday.
